Overview
Stock Balloons is a visual stock-market watchlist. You can follow stock symbols and optionally record a purchase price and purchase date. The app does not require an account and does not sell personal information.
Information Stored on Your Device
Stock Balloons stores the following information locally on your device:
- The stock symbols in your watchlist and their display order.
- Any purchase price and purchase date you choose to enter.
- Recently retrieved quote and price-history data, which is cached to improve reliability and support an offline experience.
- Basic app preferences needed to preserve your experience.
This locally stored information is not sent to the developer.
Market Data Requests
To retrieve quotes and price history, Stock Balloons sends the stock symbols you request to Yahoo Finance over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Yahoo may also receive standard network information associated with the request, such as your IP address, device or connection metadata, and the date and time of the request.
Yahoo handles information it receives according to its own practices. Review the Yahoo Privacy Policy for more information. Stock Balloons is not affiliated with or endorsed by Yahoo.
Information the Developer Does Not Collect
Stock Balloons does not include analytics, advertising, attribution, or cross-app tracking SDKs. The developer does not receive your watchlist, purchase information, precise location, contacts, photos, financial-account credentials, or other user-entered personal content through the app.
Stock Balloons does not connect to a brokerage account, execute trades, or request bank or payment credentials.
Data Retention and Deletion
Watchlist and position information remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app. You can remove individual stocks in Stock Balloons. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from your device, subject to Apple’s device backup and restore behavior.
Information received independently by Yahoo is governed by Yahoo’s retention and deletion practices.
Children’s Privacy
Stock Balloons is not directed to children and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Security
Market-data requests use HTTPS. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but Stock Balloons minimizes exposure by keeping watchlist and position information on your device and by not operating an account system or developer-controlled data server.
Changes to This Policy
If Stock Balloons’ data practices or features change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its App Store information when appropriate.
